Once you’ve invested time and effort into writing a grant application, you want to make sure it not only meets the grant application requirements, but also that it is well-written, comprehensive, and cohesive.
In this new pilot program, RRLC members will have the opportunity to have a member of the RRLC staff read your draft and identify areas for improvement before you apply to funding agencies. We’re here to help you and your library succeed in your grant writing endeavors!
Through this process, we will:
- Review the granting agency’s requirements for the grant against your grant application draft, in order to determine if you are missing any required information.
- Identify areas for improvement, including content errors or edits, missing information, and opportunities for increased clarity and impact.
- Send you a brief grant review report with our recommendations, as well as a brief summary of any strengths and weaknesses of your grant application.
Note:
- RRLC administered grants are not eligible for this program.
- This service is open to RRLC Full and Affiliate Members only.
- In order to give staff adequate time to review your grant and for you to make changes based on our feedback, draft grants and associated grant materials must be submitted a minimum of four weeks prior to the grant deadline.
- Please understand that the longer and more extensive the grant requirements are, the longer it will take us to review your grant application and provide feedback. For example, large competitive grants such as IMLS grants are generally highly competitive and require longer narratives and supporting materials. Regional or local grants may not require as many supplementary documents in comparison. Please plan accordingly when sending us your materials to review.
