“Ask the HR Expert” is a resource-sharing effort to give libraries, museums and archives access to timely guidance and advice about HR issues impacting mission and operations. We offer guidance in the following ways:

– Workplace communication
– Situational guidance
About the Presenter:
Holly Nowak launched HMN Resources in July 2015, after 20 years in the human resources field and more than a decade leading human resource service delivery and client relations strategies in the WNY region. She has advised hundreds of small business owners, executives, and management teams in a range of industries and sectors spanning private, public, and nonprofit on HR processes and practices. Her expertise is in designing comprehensive people process and team development solutions that speak to each organization’s need.
An alum of Niagara University, she holds a BA in Psychology and an MBA with a concentration in human resource management. Holly’s certifications include the SPHR, FourSight Creative Thinking Profile, DiSC, and Certified facilitator of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® method and materials*. A member of national (SHRM) and local HR associations (BNHRA, WNYHRA), she was named a finalist for “HR Professional of the Year” in the BNHRA’s 2010 HR Excellence Awards. Holly serves on the Boards of Kenmore Rotary and the Graycliff Conservancy, a Frank Lloyd Wright designed property overlooking Lake Erie just south of Buffalo, NY.
