Librarian “Sub” Opportunities:
- Public Libraries: Anyone wishing to be a substitute librarian in Rochester or any of the Monroe County towns would have to apply separately to the libraries of their choice. It is strongly recommended that individuals include a copy of their NY Public Librarian Certification with the application since most require it for subs.
- How to Get a NYS Public Librarian Certificate: Information is posted here on the Division of Library Development website.
- School Libraries: The procedure to get on the “sub” list for schools varies from district to district. Some districts require teacher certification in order to sub. One site that includes many listings for job opportunities (not just in BOCES2 which hosts the site): http://www.monroe2boces.org/JobOpportunities.aspx
