Join DHPSNY Program Manager, Amanda Murray, to learn how the identification of photographic processes can impact preservation decisions for collections. Participants will leave this workshop with the skills and tools needed to determine the preservation needs of specific types and formats of photographs. Time will be dedicated to practicing identification and handling skills.
Presenter: Amanda Murray, Program Manager, DHPSNY. As the Program Manager for Documentary Heritage and Preservation Services for New York (DHPSNY), Amanda oversees all aspects of the program, including the coordination of educational programs, communications, outreach, and planning and assessment programs. Prior to joining DHPSNY, Amanda served as the Visual Materials Cataloger at the Cornell University Library Rare and Manuscript Collections and Johnson Museum of Art. She holds an MA in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management from the University of Rochester and an MLS from the University at Buffalo.
