Part of a letter from Susan B. Anthony to Amy Post believed dated Jan. 28, 1860 [Letter]

The first paragraph reads:
“I left with you my petition with the few signatures, with you – will you get as many more names as you can and send it on to me certainly by Monday night’s mail. I wish you could get the names of a few prominant business men lawyers, judges, ? – there would be no difficulty in obtaining them, so only, some one will present the petition to them – as yet there are very few petitions – if you go to those prominent men of the Press & the ?, take a new copy of the petition – that their names may be together & head the list – thus the legislature will be more strongly impressed, than merely with our “fanatic” names.”

The entire letter is four pages in length.
