Rochester kicks off the Year of Susan B. Anthony

Rochester Mayor Lovely A. Warren will kick off a yearlong, community-wide suffrage centennial celebration at a press event at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 16, in the Atrium at City Hall, 30 Church Street. Warren has designated 2020 as the 200th Year of Susan B. Anthony and the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which recognized U.S. women’s right to vote. Deborah Hughes, President & CEO of the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House, will join the mayor to share information about special events planned throughout the year to commemorate these milestones in our history.

Please join us as we celebrate and pay tribute to one of the iconic leaders of the woman suffragist movement and one of Rochester’s most beloved citizens. And check this site regularly for more news and events!
